Welcome to The Questors Theatre in Ealing, London

Here you can watch new and popular plays every week. We deliver a full season of professional-quality productions and provide a performance venue for touring theatre companies. Anyone can get involved; become a Questors member and take part in everything from acting and directing to lighting, front of house and stage design. We also deliver theatre training for all ages; find out about our Academy and Youth Theatre.

New writing week 2024!

This year’s New Writing Festival features 6 distinctive evenings given over to a range of new theatre work across written forms. Audiences are encouraged to join us for as much of the week as possible and to play an active part in both critical and creative encouragement. The week has been developed by  David Erdos and forms the first part of PAGE; the playwrights appreciation group whose aim is to workshop and learn from the great theatrical voices and to develop a house style or sensibility within new writing at The Questors Theatre.


Monday 22 July
Our opening night features a range of newly commissioned short plays from writers new to Questors including a freshly delivered improvised drama and a selection of pitshanger poets.

Tuesday 23 July
From the Soul to the Stave. An exciting evening featuring two workshops on composition for stage and screen by Questors resident  Maestros Oleta Hafner and Emerson Bramwell in which their sumptuous music and approach will be explored and offered as food for the fires within.

Wednesday 24 July
Through Irish Eyes - Two one-act plays on Irish themes. With Pitshanger poetry from Michael Harris.

Thursday 25 July
The Devil’s Day - Features two demonic dramas: The Devil Makes Work for Idle Hands by Martin Choules and The Weigh Station by Rick Gustafson.

Friday 26 July
Special H - A holy Hovatter night featuring two new plays about the respective fates of classic if somewhat darkened Light  Entertainment stars Hattie Jacques and Gilbert Harding. Written,  directed, produced and presented by David H.

Saturday 27 July
A Chorus to Close - Two singular songwriters, Julian Smith and Matt Saldanha showcasing their special songs and featuring a selection of poets to bookend the week with a verse.

Each evening starts at 7:30pm in the Studio and is priced at £5 on the door. However you can book a space here: ticketsource link.  Season tickets can organised for those wishing to attend all events and benefit from the full experience.
