Tantrums aren't just for the kids

When the well-to-do parents of two children meet to discuss a violent playground incident, they agree to talk civilly about the matter. But as the drinks pour, polite discussion gradually degenerates into havoc. In a desperate attempt to defend their children, tribalism takes full force, spiralling to a crescendo of chaos. If you thought that tantrums were just for kids, then think again…

This witty, razor-sharp comedy deftly exposes how behind our civilized societal mask, there is still a child hiding in each of us.

Winner of the 2009 Tony Award for Best Play and written by internationally renowned playwright Yasmina Reza (Art), this fast-paced play unashamedly breaks through the trappings of everyday formalities.

Running time: 70 minutes, no interval.
